A fine summer's day to be out on the water. I was sailing on Lac St. Louis in the afternoon ... we had SW 10-18 knots ... that was fun!

A little breeze to keep cool under the heat dome … and the boat was moving along smartly even with a reef in the main! ⛵️😄
Yes but the breeze started to feel like coming out of a hair dryer after a couple of hours! 😉
It’s great to be on the water in spring listening to the birds and just being out in nature! That cloudy sky added character to your images … well done!

Very nice … starting to feel like summer. I sailed on the Ottawa River at Hawkesbury last Friday. We explored Baie Grenville!⛵️👍😄

What furling jib do you have? That looks amazing!
It is just a small jib that came with the boat! I often sail without it as long as I have enough wind. You know that a Tanzer 16 doesn't need a lot! 😉
Je ne parle pas français. Mais je voudrais demander "how did you set up those oarlocks?" That is awesome! J'ai un Tanzer 16 aussi!
Hi! It is not very difficult. I drilled holes after measuring for the right place and inserted the bushing. The oarlocks are the usual kind that fit almost any oars. You need long oars to row a Tanzer 16. At least 10 foot. 🙂

I see you have oars. How does the Tanzer move under oar or small trolling motor?
Hi, It moves well under oars but I have very long oars. 12 foot! It is a must ,because of the current I have to face on the Saint-Lawrence. I don't have a trolling motor. I just make sure that I will get some wind before getting out! 😉

Too bad I cannot video deep sky objects from my location. I would also need a deep sky camera costing around ten times the price of my telescope!....Planets!!!! 😉 Thanks John! 🙂
@@OldJong Maybe just put a long lens on the camera you have and use a simple tracking mount? Get an image stacking software package and voila!

Thanks John! It is easy to see Jupiter's four biggest moons with binoculars but when filming, we have to set the ISO for the planet's features or for the moons! We cannot have both at the same time! 🙂
